While Ella was away at her Girl Scout campout, we went out to lunch with Dottie

I had to drive out to Austin for work and ended up driving by a big wildfire in Bastrop. The smoke was really something, I could see it for miles.

She lost another tooth! With her note to the tooth fairy, asking for real fairy dust...(which the fairy did not bring...)

Ella's Brownie Campout

Ella had her first overnight campout with Brownies in October. Saying she was excited for it is a massive understatement - she could barely sleep the week before and talked about nothing but the campout. 

At one of her troop meetings leading up to it, they learned to roll their sleeping bags and make knots

In addition to crafts, water fun, and the color run, they had a campfire, cooked meals, did skits and sang songs, made smores, and just had a really good time together. She absolutely loved it.

Her next campout is in March and she is already looking forward to it!

Beach Weekend

We spent the first weekend of October with the Callaways at their beach house. It was a beautiful, and sunny, felt like an extra summer weekend. As usual, we had an incredible time with them.

Trip to Las Vegas

Steve and I took a trip to Las Vegas in September and we had so, so, much fun. Mom watched the girls for us and all went great back at home, which made it even easier to relax and enjoy ourselves on our trip.

On Friday night we went out for sushi and saw a show called Abysnthe. The show was amazing - acrobats, amazing acts and funny, all at the same time. We loved it. 

We saw Jerry Seinfeld on Saturday night. He was hysterical and we laughed and laughed. 

In our hotel casino at Mandalay Bay. We played black jack on Sunday night and I won a few hundred dollars!

This was our first trip since Dottie was born and it was so nice to get away and have time together. And I'm so grateful that we have mom to watch the girls and that all went well for them while we were gone.
