Visit from Grampy and Grandma Carole

Len and Carole came to visit us at the end of October, we were so glad to have them!

Ella took this one - notice how much better the picture quality is than the one I took?!

Len made a beautiful scrapbook for Steve with many pictures from when he was little

Weekend with Grampy and Grandma Carole

Although we were not in a hurry to leave Disney World after having such a wonderful time there, we were looking forward to returning to St Augustine for a few more days with Len and Carole.

It was chilly but sunny and beautiful on Friday, and we went to Crescent Beach, a gorgeous beach just a few minutes away from their house.

Serious sand castle village

The water was very cold - one dip of my toes and I had enough. But not Ella! She was so excited for a day at the beach and very determined she was going to in the water. Lucky for her, Grampy was up for the challenge and the two of them spent a long time out in the water together - I really don't know how they did it.

Time to warm up -- BRRR!

This was really cool - there was a sea turtle who came out of his burrow in the sand

So cute!

On Saturday, we went to Anastasia State Park to visit out the park and beach there

After a nice lunch at a restaurant by the beach, it was time to head to the airport to fly home.

We had such a wonderful visit and vacation, and we were sad to say goodbye to Grampy and Grandma Carole. We are already looking forward to seeing them again soon!

Spring Break! -- Saint Augustine Alligator Farm

We had a great vacation week for Ella's spring break in mid-March. We went to Florida and split our week between St. Augustine to visit Len and Carole, and a trip to Disney World.

We arrived on Saturday afternoon, and had a wonderful time seeing the area and catching up with Grampy and Grandma Carole.

On Sunday we went to the nearby Alligator Farm

We got a great spot to see the alligator feeding. It was funny because they didn't seem that hungry. It was beautiful and sunny out and most of the alligators seemed more content to enjoy the sun instead of eating. But there were a few that were still interested!

After the Alligator Farm we had lunch at a restaurant on the beach, and then drove through the town of St. Augustine.

Pawley's Island Beach Trip

We went to the beach for several days with Steve's family a few weeks ago. It was a great trip, and Ella is even more crazy about the beach this year than before.

Ready to hit the beach!
