August has been such a busy month and I'm finally getting a chance to post our updates. We started the month with our first weekend trip since I had Ella, a weekend at Steve's dad's house in Maryland. We haven't seen Steve's brother Craig in several years because they were stationed in Alaksa and Craig was deployed to Iraq for 15 months. He flew in to Raleigh late Friday night and we drove up to MD on Saturday.
With Uncle Craig, getting ready for her big trip!
Packing was an adventure - I think it took me about 3 hours to pack everything I thought Ella would need for the weekend - and 5 minutes to pack everything I needed - ha!
We brought her CD and white noise machine to try to recreate her same sleeping environment, toys, blankets, diapers, bottle warmer, bottles, formula, food, clothes, pack and play, sheets, bumbo seat, bibs, the list goes on and on...
Ella did really good in the car, here is a pic of sleeping like a sweet little angel
Steve's dad had a party that night and we got to see a bunch of Steve's extended family
Tia Thelma, visiting from El Paso
Richie and little Shane
Cousins
Steve, Teresa, Craig, Richie, Lisa (left --> right)
We spent the rest of the weekend up in MD and enjoyed the time with Steve's family
Ella and Aunt Tisi
With Grampy
Having fun with Daddy & Uncle Craig
As usual, Ella impressed me with her adapability and how great she did on the trip - she was happy and playful, slept pretty well (all things considered), and just generally was the perfect little baby that she always is!
