I haven't taken any picture at gymnastics in a while, so I took some videos with my phone of Ella last night. Some are from pretty far away so aren't great, but she's in the bright green leotard.
Hanging from the bar
Doing her little circuit
Back flip on the rings...but she lets go!
Jump roll - she wouldn't do it until she was positive she had Miss Dallas's attention
I love watching her at her class each week. It's amazing to see how much she enjoys it, and how much more confidence she has in the class than when she began in January.
As an added bonus, one of her best friends, Gillian, signed up for the class this session, and Ella was very happily surprised when another friend from school (who no longer goes to the school and Ella had asked where she was) joined the class a few weeks ago. So Ella gets to have gymnastics class plus social hour at the same time - she loves it!!

Weekend in Charlotte
The weekend after Labor Day, Kelly flew in from Boston on Thursday afternoon, and the next afternoon we headed to Charlotte. Kelly hadn't met Cameron yet, and Gee Gee flew in from Ocean City for the weekend as well. We were really excited for the trip and it was so great to see everyone for a fun weekend.
Ella reunited at last with "her baby Cammy"

Could he be any cuter??

On Saturday afternoon we went to a local winery. Glenn drove all of us there in the van, and hung out with Ella so we could fully focus on the wine! The wines were good but the best part were wine slushies that are frozen drinks made with wine - they were delicious!!

Lucky Kelly!!

Mom and Gee-Gee - Plus Ella - she was not supposed to be in this picture but ran in because no photo could possibly be complete without this lovely little lady!

Kelly, Mom and Gee-Gee all flew out on Sunday, I was not ready for the weekend to end, but so, so glad we all got together!

On Sunday afternoon, Erin, Josh and Cameron and Ella and I met up with Dad and Donna for lunch at a restaurant nearby

Last Beach Trip of the Year
We decided to take a day trip to the beach for a final beach trip of the year over Labor Day weekend. I am guessing because Hurricane Irene had come through the weekend before, a lot of people must have canceled their beach plans, because we had no traffic, parked in a great lot, and the beach was really uncrowded.
We enjoyed lots of beach time, swam a lot, and of course plenty of sand castle building.

We went out to dinner and then hit the boardwalk!

It was a wonderful day and a perfect way to end the summer!

Wedding Song
Another video - this one is a song Ella made up, she always makes up her own words and they don't make very much sense but are just so funny.
We showed Ella a little bit of our wedding video a few weeks ago, and she really liked that, and last weekend we saw where a wedding was being set up for later that night, and so I think she has weddings on the brain.
We were in Charlotte last weekend and on Sunday she decided she was going to hold a "wedding party", and I was going to marry Aunt Kelly. So, she spent about 20 minutes getting setting the table up with all of her teacups, saucers, silverware, etc., and gathered Mom, Kelly and I, saying that the wedding was ready.
We all sat at the table and then Ella said it was time to sing "Happy Birthday." We all sang and then Ella said Kelly and I could NOT sing because it was our wedding and only her and Mom should be singing. She served us many cups of tea and other snacks, it was just so cute.
Tonight she had another wedding, this one involved about a half hour of set up of several cups of water, dishes, cups and then she said it was "time to celebrate" and "sing the wedding song," which she of course made up, and it was quite the song. Later when I was running the water for her bath she got her microphone out and sang some more of the beautiful melody :).

Singing about the Planets
Ella has been learning about outer space and the solar system in school, and they are learning a little song about the planets that they're going to perform next weekend. She loves practicing the song and sings it all the time.
It's really cute because the song has 8 different verses (Pluto is out), each one is different, and there are some big words in there, but she gives it her best shot!
Here are some cute clips of a few of the verses.
I just love her adorable singing voice!

A bunch of recent pictures -
Fancy dress at her last dance class

Welcome to Ella's house!

Mom and Glenn watched Ella for us for the weekend on our anniversary and Ella had a blast. They went to Tucker Lake one day, here's Ella climbing up the little iceberg water slide.

And tailgating for lunch!

They went to Build-a-Bear and Ella built her new buddy Kludo (she named him). He has a shirt, pants, sneakers, roller skates, bandanna, leash, and a very fancy bed. This is one decked-out dog!

Bringing him to school a few days later

Coloring at her easel at Grammy and Grampy G's house

Little princess in her Ariel dress. She hasn't seen the movie the Little Mermaid but loves Ariel and loves to wear this costume.

Decorating cupcakes in her play house

One day she inexplicably insisted on wearing her Santa hat

On a special date with Daddy to Jump Zone. Lots of jumping and a slushy at the end = very happy girl

Having fun on the deck

We made pizza one night and I started cutting it with the pizza cutter. She remembered that she had "her own" pizza cutter, so she went upstairs, got it from her kitchen in the playroom, and helped me cut. What a great little assistant!

Mirror, Mirror
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall
Who's the Fairest One of All?
According to Ella? SHE is!!
Ella has never met a mirror she didn't like - she enjoys looking at herself, making funny faces and gestures, perfecting her dance moves, being silly and just having lots of general merriment in front of the mirror.
Glenn got a vanity for her and as expected, she loves it!
Putting it together

Oooh, such a pretty girl!!

"Blow drying" her hair

The new vanity is up in her play room now and between the vanity and the mirrored closet doors in there, she is definitely enjoying some quality mirror time!
